The Secret Life Season 1 Episode 6

Love For Sale

Original Air Date: 08/05/2008
Director: Keith Truesdall
Writers: Brenda Hampton and Caroline Kepnes

This episode starts off with Amy creepily sitting in the dark.  Her mom wakes up, makes some coffee, and is startled when she sees Amy sitting in the dark alone.  Amy just blurts out that she's having a baby.  Ugh AMY!!!  C'mon, even I could've told her that if she was going to tell her mom, the best time to do it probably isn't when her mom just wakes up and is all sleepy!
Amy's mother, the best actress in the show, is disbelieving.  Poor Anne Juergens.  She thinks Amy is lying to her.  Ashley wakes up and joins the discussion.  Family drama!  Then to top things off, Amy tells her mom she wants an abortion.

Anne makes a plan for Amy: to go to her OBGYN and to tell her father.  Apparently the doctor Amy went to see earlier in show was her pediatrician- LOL!

Ashley and Amy get the day off from school and Ashley is a huge brat!  She blames Anne for George leaving even though in a previous episode she admitted to knowing George was cheating!  How can she blame Anne?!  How does that work out in her stupid head?  Then she begs Anne to keep Amy there in their house with them, despite Amy wanting to be sent somewhere.

At school, Madison wants to try to go see Amy and take her assignments from school, but Lauren says she can't because her parents won't let her see Amy.  WHAT?!  Lauren is a TERRIBLE friend.  She told her parents information that wasn't hers to tell and now she isn't ALLOWED to be friends with Amy?  Baloney!  If her parents think that hanging out with a pregnant teen will somehow be a bad influence on their daughter, then they didn't raise their daughter right.

Adrian pulls Ricky aside to talk about Amy.  Apparently when she tried to give her a ride home yesterday, Amy never showed up.  Hah!  Seems she was going to try to convince Amy to get an abortion.  Adrian tells Ricky not to interfere and to let her get an abortion if that's what she wants.
Grace tells Ricky that Amy is really going to have a baby and Ricky confirms it.  Grace flips out and leaves to try to 'save' the baby.

Amy takes it upon herself to call Adrian and asks her to take her to a clinic for an abortion.  Ben's dad and George meet to talk about Ben's marriage proposal.  Both George and Anne still think that Ben is the father.  Ben's dad is super sweet for supporting his son, but this is a bit of a stretch.
Amy sneaks out and Adrian picks her up.  Amy doesn't want Ben to come, but he does anyway and tries to convince Amy not to do it.  Amy yells at him and tells Adrian to drive to the clinic.
George shows up at the house and has the NERVE to blame Anne for Amy's pregnancy.  What a JERK!  He just proves it more and more every episode.

Grace and Ricky rush to the abortion clinic to try to convince Amy not to get an abortion, but they are too late.  Amy has already been taken to the back.  Adrian and Ben, who are waiting for her, have words defending Amy.  The receptionist calls security to make them leave, but at the last moment Ben is called back.  Amy wants to talk to him.

When Ben gets to Amy's doctor's office room, she cries and apologizes for yelling at him.  She borrows his phone to call her mom.  Looks like she won't be getting an abortion.
Adrian and Ricky talk.  Adrian calls him out on pretending to care about Amy's baby just to impress Grace and Ricky totally doesn't deny it.  Adrian makes it clear that she's been encouraging the abortion because she doesn't want to see Ricky with Amy.  Then, Ricky grabs her and kisses her.  What a jerk face man-slut!

Jack makes a play for Grace.  He apologizes for his cheeating and is super nice to her, even though it wasn't that long ago Jack was yelling at her in school...I don't know about him.  I can't tell if he's sincere or just in a good mood and lonely without Grace.

Amy talks to her mom and pushes her desire to marry Ben.  Anne explains, in a great way, that marrying Ben isn't a good idea because she needs to try to take responsibility for herself.  Anne is an AMAZING mother and I hope Amy realizes how lucky she is.

Quotes

Ashley    "That's my punishment for not telling you? Not going to school? Fine."

The Secret Life Season 1 Episode 5

What Have You Done To Me?

Original Air Date: 07/29/2008
Director: Ron Underwood
Writers: Brenda Hampton and Caroline Kepnes

Ben and Amy go on a picnic.  Amy eats a plate of wings and Ben eats nothing.  What a skinny little wimp.  It would seriously annoy me if my boyfriend ate nothing while I pigged out all the time.  And then he
proposes.  What?!  They are fifteen!  What world is he living in where that seems like a good idea?!  And can I move there?  LOL jk.  Ben is so lovesick that he tells Amy they can tell her parents it's HIS
baby!  Haha.  Ben may be okay with that now, but in the future he will definitely resent her if she went along with that idea.  Amy straight up tells him that her parents probably wouldn't even let her get married.
Ricky goes over to Grace's house and sits in her living room with Grace's brother, Tom.  It seems he came over for dinner, but Grace's parents won't allow Grace to spend time with him without them present.  They are smart!  But Ricky gives them some smooth words about 'just trying to help Grace' and it looks like Grace's mom falls for it.  Amy's mom, Anne, has caught on the George's cheating ways and kicked his
butt out!  Good for her!  Amy's little sister is not too happy about it though.  The worst part is that George lies!  He tells Ashley he isn't cheating and that Anne is mistaken.  What a liar!

When Ashley yells at her father and makes it clear she knows he cheated I was so proud of her!  She is one insightful thirteen year old.  Good for her!  The awful husband, George, goes to stay with Adrian and her mom!  Adrian is against the idea and rightfully so!  Some strange guy is going to stay with her?  Inappropriate.  Adrian's mom is kind of slutty.  Adrian's mom gives her an envelope full of cash and tells her she loves her before leaving for another trip for work as a stewardess.

Jack and Adrian continue studying once she leaves.  Jack talks about how his dad died and his mom met his step-dad, the Reverend Stone at grief counseling.  I'm not sure, but I think this is a big reason he is so into
being a Christian.  He also implies that it was his step dad who asked him to date Grace Bowman.  Haha!
Meanwhile, Amy goes home and talks with Ashley.  Amy tells her that Ben and Ben's dad knows about her pregnancy, so maybe it's time to tell her mother.  Amy also reveals that she is totally naive!  She doesn't realize that their father has left them or that he's been cheating on their mother.  Amy's two years older than Ashley, but somehow Ashley is way more intuitive.  Amy's not too upset though and they laugh about how old and ugly their dad is.  Only for a moment though.  Then Amy dissolves into tears about her pregnancy.
Amy wants to get an abortion.  Ben tries to encourage her not to, but she doesn't listen.  Amy seems to think her parents would send her off to some home for teen moms.
Adrian appears and demands that Amy meet her in the parking lot after school for a ride home.  Ben informs Amy that her two best friends, Madison and Lauren, are probably the ones who went around telling the school about her and Ricky.  Amy gets upset and defends her friends.  Alice and Henry have heard about Amy's pregnancy and question Ben about it.  He admits to knowing about it, but is mad at them for gossiping about Amy.  Grace and some other girl gossip about Amy's pregnancy and Jack being with Adrian.  Grace is upset about being lied to by Jack.  Jack had told her all he and Adrian did was kiss.  Grace runs into Ricky and they talk about Jack and lying.  Ricky, the sly boy, smooth-talks Grace and asks to come over later that night to hear her personal testimony.  Ricky is so evil!  He is going to pretend to be interested in becoming a Christian just to get with Grace!  I really hope this show doesn't go all "Cruel Intentions" and have Ricky get with Grace only to truly fall in love with her and
Christianity.
Madison and Lauren talk to Amy and Amy confronts them about how people know about her pregnancy.  Amy pretty much asks her friends to help her get an abortion.  Madison says she can't because she is Catholic.  Wow.  Lauren tells her she needs to tell her mother and that she doesn't know anything about it.  Amy freaks out about how she can't tell her parents and reveals that her parents are getting a divorce.  Lauren shows her selfish colors when she complains that her high school experience isn't
what she wants it to be because of Amy.  How rude!  She's not the one who's pregnant at fifteen!
Amy's doctor calls her on her cell, right after her dad calls, and Amy lies and tells her she took care of it.  The doctor is clearly unsure of what to do.

The guidance counselor requests a meeting with Amy.  They discuss her plans to join the orchestra, go to Juliard, and, one day, play in the New York Philharmonic- a pretigous orchestra.  The counselor clearly knows she is pregnant, or at least has a strong suspicion.  He hints at
obstacles in her path and even says "when you hit a bump in the road..." - a baby bump! haha!
As soon as Amy leaves, Ben goes into the counselor's office for another one of his overly frank, awkward meetings with him.  Ben denies Amy's pregnancy, but the counselor gives him some straight talk.  Ben totally
started crying!  Hahahaha!  Wow.  Jack gives Adrian a lecture about how she shouldn't hang out with "girls
like Amy Juergens" and Adrian actually defends her- until she learns Amy might be pregnant.  Right then, Grace rushes up and confronts Jack and Adrian together.  She is super mad that Jack lied to her and Adrian
competely defends her part in the crime.

I HATE JACK!  Grace is mad and being a little mean about how Jack should be ashamed of himself and Jack totally FLIPS out on her!  He yells at her to shut up and tells her that the only reason he went out with her all was because his step dad asked him to.  What a JERK!  Poor Grace.  I thought I would hate Grace, but I actually feel sorry for her!  Turns out Amy is the one I don't like.  She's kind of whiny.
Ricky goes to his therapist to talk and mentions that he heard a rumor he got a girl pregnant.
Amy has a talk with her mother, but STILL does NOT tell her!  I can't believe it!  In real life, her mother would've noticed way sooner.  Ben calls Amy, but she declines the call.  Ben leaves a message whining about how she should marry him.  What a weirdo!

Quotes

Ben   "Well, you're my whore."

Lauren   "I don't know, but what I do know is that this is not what I wanted my high school experience to be."

Season 1 Episode 4

Caught

Original Air Date: 7/22/2008
Director: Keith Truesdell
Writer: Brenda Hampton

Ricky forgets to pick up Grace after her secret date with Jack.  Ricky was too busy getting it on with Adrian and fell asleep after.  When he gets the call from Grace, he blames Adrian for letting him fall asleep.  What a jerk!

While Grace is waiting for Ricky, two men try to attack her!  She prays, breaks a beer bottle and brandishes it at them.  At just the right moment, Ricky shows up and scares them off.  Security footage catches it all and the next morning, it is aired all over the news.  Amy's dad wakes Amy up to see it and laughs about it!  He finds it funny because he dislikes the Bowmans.  Really?!  Some young girl is attacked and defends herself and it's funny?!  No.

Grace's parents find out and she tries to explain.  Ricky's foster mother questions him about why he wasn't wearing a shirt.  She can tell that Ricky was at his girlfriends- except she thinks his girlfriend is Amy.  Ricky corrects her though.  Amy's mom and dad question Amy's little sister about why she is dressed differently.  George reveals that customers in his store were gossiping about a Juergens girl having sex and George assumes it must be Ashley because "Amy wouldn't do that".  Ashley could have ratted Amy out and said it was her, but she didn't.  What a good sister!

Amy is upset and doesn't want to let Ashley get in trouble for her mistakes.  Amy's friend Lauren lays down some truth and tells Madison to tell Amy how she truly feels and tells Amy to tell her parents.  Good advice, but Amy doesn't want to listen.

When Grace gets to school, the other kids tease her and Jack has the audacity to be furious with Grace!  He dumps her on a street corner after agreeing to the sneaking around and then is mad at her for what happened?!  What?!  Jack, if he is a true Christian, should feel guilty.  He should realize that Grace could have been kidnapped, raped, or murdered all because he had to make curfew.  Ridiculous.  And poor Grace just takes it.

Ricky is the only one who acts appropriately.  He asks if she's okay and apologizes again for not being on time last night.  Thank goodness!  At least someone seems to realize the seriousness of what could have happened...at least until it becomes clear Ricky does want to go out with Grace and is playing her.  Adrian sees it, marches up, takes off Ricky's shirt, which she wore to school that day, and tells Grace where he was last night.  Adrian then marches away topless.

Jack sees what happened and decides to take his shirt off as well.  He yells that he looks better than Ricky with his shirt off.  Jack is clearly jealous that Ricky was the 'hero' and that he had no shirt on.

After school, Amy and Ben meet up to get food.  Ben points out that Amy is always hungry, HA!  Amy is still a little mad about their fight in the morning.  Ben got upset that Amy wanted to talk to her friends instead of him.  Throughout the day he apologized but Amy is still a little mad.  They go out anyway though.
Adrian goes home after the game to find her mother home.  Not just home, but having sex with George Juergens.  The same George who is supposed to be married to Amy's mother, Anne!  What?!  George is apparently a HUGE cheater and it is soooo low!  I liked George's character- up until now.

Poor Anne is waiting at home when Amy comes back from her date with Ben.  Anne can tell George is cheating.  Apparently George said he was going out to play pool.  And he did that a lot when they first got married.  She knows he is cheating.  Ah! I can't believe it!  How could he do that?  George acts like he's the fun, funny, good guy, but in reality he's a loser.
Once Adrian's mom and George leaves, Adrian has Jack come over.  She thinks he wants sex and when she calls him out about it, he claims he wants a relationship with her.  He tells her he wants her to go to church with him.  Oh and he wants to make Grace jealous.  Wow!  For a self-proclaimed Christian, Jack acts NOTHING like a Christian.

Meanwhile, reporters trying to talk to Grace take advantage of Grace's brother who is mentally handicapped.  The footage is then aired all over.  Nothing news breaking is revealed though.
Ben's dad talks with Ben and when her appetite comes up, his dad bluntly asks if they are fooling around and if Amy is pregnant.  At first, Ben thinks it's a crazy question, but after some thought it is obvious he is not so sure.

Amy tries to talk to her dad and ends up revealing that she had sex, not Ashley.  Anne comes in and confronts George about if he is cheating.  George tells her she is being ridiculous, but I think Anne can tell he is.  George is SUCH a LOW LIFE!  Meanwhile, Ben and Amy make plans to hang out the next day.  Ashley points out that Amy is going to have to tell Ben at some point.

Jack shows up at Adrian's to take her to church.  I'm not really sure why Adrian agreed to go in the first place.  Before leaving, Adrian tries to seduce him again.  This time Jack resists, but it's only because he doesn't want to have sex before church.  Stupid.

Grace's parents skip church to fool around- real Christian behavior here!  Grace and her brother go to church where she is interviewed and finally- deservedly- called a hero.

The Secret Life Season 1 Episode 3

I Feel Sick

Original Air Date: 7/15/2008
Director: Ron Underwood
Writers: Brenda Hampton and Caroline Kepnes

Did anyone else notice the sign at the gas station in the opening scene that says 'Free tampons with fill up'?  What?! Haha!  Amy's sister, Ashley, gets Amy some.
Ben is busy making out with a large stuffed bear.  Alice offers to help him plan his first kiss with Amy.  Weird.  What kind of guy needs help to do that?  And Alice's help?  I don't know.  Looks dubious.
Jack is awful!  When talking to Grace, he uses the fact that Grace has made him wait so long to have sex as an excuse for why he kissed Adrian.  Ridiculous!  For a self-proclaimed Christian, it seems like he could use a few repeated reads of the Bible.

Madison and Lauren hang out with Lauren's brother, Jason.  He knows about Amy's pregnancy and gives them both a stern lecture about not having sex.

Grace, at dinner with her family, pitches a big fit about Jack.  Her parents don't want her to see him anymore since she told them about how Jack kissed Adrian and embarrassed her in front of the whole school.  I think she should listen to her parents.

Ricky "visits" Adrian and skips out on his appointment with Dr. Fields.  The doctor calls him and it's revealed that he's actually missed a couple of appointments.  Dr. Fields tells him he will call his mother if he continues missing appointments.  Meanwhile, Amy's mother notices Amy's feet are swollen.  Amy is so lucky!  Her mom starts talking about going out shopping for 'dating clothes' and, if it were me, I would be so excited!  Amy just looks...like she could go either way.

Alice coaches Ben on what to do during his date with Amy later that night.  They discuss the most romantic ways for Ben to kiss Amy for the first time.  Alice is starting to grow on me.  At first she seemed like a frigid statistics textbook, but in this episode she opens up a bit more.  After Alice leaves, Ben's dad, Leo, comes in and gives Ben a pep talk as well.  One weird thing is that Ben keeps talking about how he's in love with Amy.  They really haven't been dating long enough for that, in my opinion, but to each his own. eh :/

Ricky calls Grace to talk.  He calls Adrian his friend and says he has a lot of friends.  Ew!  I have never and will never date a guy who professes to have a lot of friends that are girls!  One or two is fine- whatever- but if a guy feels the need to tell you upfront that he has a lot of friends that are girls, you should know he's either gay or a player.  There's a teeny chance the guy just happens to have a lot of friends that are girls, but it really isn't likely.

Adrian fights with Ricky when he tells her about his phone call with Grace.  He plays it as if he's 'helping' out Grace and Jack so that they can hang out when Grace tells her parents she's out with Ricky.  Jack is SO naive!  He of all people, should realize Ricky's game here.  He clearly is going to play against Jack to get Grace,  Ugh!  The sad part is that a TON of guys are actually like this!  Not all, thank God, though!
Amy's doctor continues to try to get hold of her to talk about her options.  Amy, however, is still trying to pretend nothing happened, despite her increased weight.

Ashley goes to Amy's bedroom to tell her that they are going out to eat.  Amy is a true meanie here and is quite terse with Ashley.  Grace brings Ricky over to meet her parents.  Then, they go to the fair.  It's so FUNNY though, because the minute they walk out the door, Grace's dad totally calls it.  He says they are just going out so Grace can meet up with Jack and WOW he's right!

While Grace is at the fair with Jack, Ricky is busy getting it on with Adrian.  Once finished, he rushes out insisting that it's time to pick up Grace.  Adrian accepts it, but is clearly upset nonetheless.

Amy goes home after the festival and talks with Ashley.  It seems their parents have been fighting a lot.  Uhoh!  Ashley also directly asks Amy if she is pregnant.  How is it that ASHLEY is the one who notices these things?  Amy admits to Ashley that she IS pregnant but asks her not to tell anyone.  She claims that she will tell them when she HAS to.  Oh gosh!!! Ashley seems so tough, but she's just as sensitive as anyone.  I think I like her wily ways.

I like that Grace's dad can be a true Christian but not actually hurt anyone.  And he has a sick sense of intuition!  Love it!

Ben goes to Amy's house to return a jacket she left with him.  He brings her the jacket, a bottle of ginger ale (to help her 'upset' stomach).
Is it just me, or do these episodes end rather abruptly?

Quotes

Anne Juergens: "Be mysterious.  Less is more."

Madison: "Well, maybe we can get you like a big safety pin.  You know like the giant pins they put in diapers."

Alice: "It's a big moment to you."

The Secret Life Season 1 Episode 2

You Are My Everything

Original Air Date: 7/8/2008
Director: Keith Truesdell
Writers: Brenda Hampton and Caroline Kepnes

This episode opens with Ben carrying Amy's books to her class and Jack rushing after Grace trying to apologize.  And Ricky is hitting on random chicks.
Amy's friends come up and ask Amy if she told her parents about her pregnancy yet.  Amy acts like she is bothered that they brought it up at all!  She tells them that she is going to act like it never happened!
What?!  How is she going to act like it never happened in nine months?  Silly girl.  To make things worse, Amy's friends continue talking about her and Ben's two friends overhear them say that Amy had sex with Ricky!  They are more than likely going to tell Ben.  Uh-oh!

Ricky and Amy talk but Amy actually blows him off!  Go Amy!!!  He tells her that he and Adrian are just friends- liar.  Adrian gets super jealous of Amy and says some mean things about her.
Then, Ricky follows Amy to her locker and pesters her, asking if she even remembers what they did a month ago.  He even has the NERVE to tell her it wasn't that great, but that she shouldn't feel bad since it was her first time.  What?!  Someone needs to slap this guy in the face!

Grace talks to her mom about Jack cheating on her.  She only knows Jack and Adrian kissed.  She doesn't even know that they did more than that.  While they talk, Jack comes in with his fly unzipped.  Neither of the women tell him though- hah

Later, Adrian changes her mind about apologizing to Ricky.  Points for Adrian!  She shouldn't have to apologize if they weren't even going out.  If Ricky and Adrian were just friends, she can kiss whomever she wants.

Ben spends some time with his two friends.  They hang out and eat chips out of a silver bowl.  Ben is apparently wealthy enough to have a butler.  He talks about his mom dying and how time passes slowly as kid.  Basically he sounds like a long-winded loser.  But that's his stereotype, so it works for him.  Ben's friends tell him about hearing the rumors regarding Amy.  Ben flips out a little bit and calls Amy right away to ask her about it.  She doesn't answer because she's busy being intimidated by Adrian.

Naturally, Adrian is pretty intimidating and mean.  Amy grabs Ricky to ask if he told anyone.  He denies it and informs her it was Madison and Lauren who told people.  Upset, Amy tells her friends to stop calling.  It is so cute the way she stutters.  She does kind of look like she's 12, but in a cute, innocent
way.
Amy's mom is looking over the phone bill when she asks George about money.  She wants to make sure they have enough...supposedly.  I smell something fishy!  Jack tries to go to Grace's house, but Grace's father doesn't allow him to come in.  I love it!  He had a strong suspicion that Jack did more than just kiss Adrian and he's RIGHT!  Jack tries to pull his 'I'm a Christian' excuse out and Grace's father tells him he will pummel him.  Yes!  Then, he gives Grace a lecture about staying away from Jack.  It
seems Grace is torn between her hurt and her love of Jack.
Ricky and Adrian hook up and she tries to get him to stick around for awhile, but Ricky wants to take off.  He claims he needs to check in with his foster parents- riiiight.  Isn't that what cell phones are for?

Quotes
Marshall: "Oh that's right, I'm a Christian, so first I will smite you then I will pummel you.  Go home."
Alice: "That's different, that was in the eighties.  Everyone was coked out and disco dancing back then.  No one really knew what they were doing."
Ricky: "You know, some girls do it without broadcasting it to the whole school.  Some girls are more discreet about their sex life than you are.  Some girls have class."

The Secret Life Season 1 Episode 1

Falling In Love

Original Air Date: 10/3/2008
Director: Ron Underwood
Writers: Brenda Hampton and Orlando Bishop

Molly Ringwald!  Awesome!  So 15 year old Amy Juergens gets home from band practice, wearing a massive band uniform, and proceeds to take a home pregnancy test.  From the previews, I already know she is.  But I guess the fun will be in seeing everyone around her find out!
Okay, so some blond guy and some blond girl are the 'it' couple.  And the guy with the two Asian friends is the 'nerd'.  Que the Latina slut, Adrian, and her smooth-talking boyfriend, Ricky Underwood.  Ricky doesn't hesitate to hit on Grace Bowman, the blond 'it' girl, after Adrian leaves his sight.
In a stereotypical fashion, the Asian starts rattling off statistics about sex.  Weird and unrealistic.  Amy Juergens stares at Ricky, the boyfriend of the 'slut', and I think it's obvious- we have a winner!  Ricky
is totally the father of Amy's baby.  Amy's friend, Madison, seriously looks like the actual daughter of Molly Ringwald.
Grace and her boyfriend have a talk over lunch about being abstinent.  Grace wants Jack to wait to have sex until after marriage, but Jack clearly doesn't want to wait.  Adrian, the 'slut', comes over and sits by Jack and acts like a slut, while staring at Jack.  Weird.

Ben, the nerd, talks to the counselor about joining the band because he was rejected by Amy.  Ben already makes no sense.  He wants to get closer to a girl who rejected him?  What?
With numerous home tests confirming Amy's pregnancy, her friends convince her to go to the doctor.  In the waiting room, Amy holds someone else's baby oddly enough.  How ironic! Lol.
Finally 23 minutes in, we are introduced to Amy's 13 year old sister who apparently had to put on a sweatshirt in school because her belly button was showing.  It would've been funnier to show this I think.  Amy's mother is ironically super perceptive and asks Amy if she is okay.  I'm pretty sure Amy is a terrible liar and that's why she looks so awkward and struggles to answer.  Amy's father, George, gives the girls a lecture about how they are too young to even think about sex.

At Grace Bowman's house, Grace's father gives a lecture on staying pure and not having sex.  Grace has promised to stay abstinent until marriage and wears a promise ring her father gave her.

Meanwhile, Ricky Underwood is having a counseling session.  It appears he was sexually abused and currently lives with a foster family.

Ben and Amy go on a date.  For both, it is their first date ever.  At the dance, Ricky approaches Amy and has the NERVE to ask her to dance with Grace's brother so that he can dance with Grace.  What a jerk!
Jack is freaking out because he hooked up with Adrian the night before.  He totally cheated on Grace!  And he thinks he is a good Christian! Hah!

Grace's brother, Tom, sees Jack and Adrian kissing at the dance and yells at the top of his lungs.  Everyone runs out and sees them.  Everyone except Amy and Ben who dance together.

The funny thing is that Adrian and Jack just stand there.  In real life, they would have hurriedly split up and probably would have tried to say Grace's brother was lying.

Quotes
Amy   "I didn't realize what was happening until, like, after two seconds,
and then it was just over. And it wasn't fun, and definitely not like
what you see in the movies, you know, all romantic and stuff."
Jack   "Let us not be distracted by the women who are here to lead us into
situations that would lead us straight into hell and destroy our souls
forever, but to cheer us on to victory with their short skirts and tight
sweaters and hot bodies."
Ben   "You're going to need to know what a condom's for if you're going to
make it in this job Mark."

Introductions!

The Secret Life of the American Teenager is one of my little sister's
favorite shows and I'm super curious as to why.  I'm not really sure what
to expect, but I'm going to watch every episode and see how it turns out.

Kaley- if you're reading this and I end up making fun of this show,
don't hate me :)
